PMC

I have just done a quick course in PMC (Precious Metal Clay).  Wonderful stuff!
I will be (attempting - if time permits) to do more advanced courses and start producing some creative results from it all.
We are all creative in some way :)
Even if you think you're not, you are!  You just have to find your niche.  Being creative doesn't mean you have to make a future collectors item, it just means you have to make something with your own hands! It could be writing, sewing, knitting, woodwork, painting, metalwork, jewellery, sculpting or even making

coffee mugs. Try it.  It's a lot of fun and it's good for the soul.  Besides, who knows,  you just might create the next future "must have" collectable item!

I love Australia!

I have not been able to sit down and write for such a long time. I have been moving house and I have also been on another fantastic road trip. Although, this was a 'planes, trains and automobiles' trip!
I flew to Darwin to meet my son, who had been mustering cattle in the Northern Territory for the last few months (on a property the size of Texas!) and was coming home.
Darwin was a beautiful surprise! I don't know what I expected but the scenery and some of the original architecture (that wasn't lost to either bombing or cyclone Tracey) was magnificent.
Then we caught The Ghan (train) to Adelaide (52hours!). It was spectacular! Watching the scenery changing along the way; being part of the journey is so much better than flying and just arriving.
Adelaide is, I think, the most beautiful city in Australia. I wish I had realised how beautiful, years ago. It was 'picture perfect'. We stayed at Glenelg, just out of the city, on the coastline. Our room was on the 12th floor and had city views and when you walked out into the hallway, you had a huge picture window overlooking the water.
Then we hired a car and drove through the Adelaide Hills to the Great Ocean Road; something I have wanted to do for many years!
It was breathtaking! I have never seen such spectacular beauty. I cried when I saw the 12 Apostles. It was awesome. If you have never seen it, I suggest you put it on your 'must do' list. You will not be disappointed. Especially, if you see the first half around sunset, then stay overnight, and see the rest at sunrise, as we did.
We stayed overnight at a little place called Port Campbell Holiday Park. It was lovely and I would recommend it to anyone. Oh, and don't forget to visit Port Fairy on the way, it is well worth it; a beautiful, peaceful fishing village. Also,Mt. Gambier has a sink hole and a blue lake that is well worth seeing.
Then we headed towards Melbourne, through some very picturesque scenery, and some incredible little towns, then headed back up to Sydney.
14,000 kms in 8 days!!!
Wherever you live, you should always make time for road trips, even if it is just for the weekend. Discover where you live :-)
I LOVE AUSTRALIA!

Earth Day!.....

Today is Earth Day!

So, stop for a moment and think about what a wonderful earth we have.
Appreciate this wonderful earth everyday. Nurture this wonderful earth everyday.

Do something today to show your appreciation. Even if it is just sharing a photo that shows it's magnificence.

Why not do something everyday!
Spread the love :-)

Amazing Jesus....

OK I just had to show this amazing picture of Jesus! It was drawn with 'one stroke of the pen'!!!
If you enlarge it, you can see that it is one continuous pen line!!
How amazing. But of course, it is also a beautiful, yet sad, picture of Jesus.
The image is from the Graphics Fairy.

Ahhh...Autumn....

It is such a beautiful Autumn day. The sun is warm, the air has that slight chill to it and the sky is a pale shade of blue; in contrast to the warm shades of the Autumn leaves.
Heavenly!

Wish me luck :-)

Have you ever slept under the stars?

Have you ever just rolled out a swag and slept under the stars? If you haven't, then I strongly suggest you try it, no matter what age you are.
I am 52 and I love sleeping with my doors and windows wide open and feeling the breeze on my face, but I still like to have a roof over my head.
Until the other night!
There is something so incredibly wonderful about lying down on a swag and looking straight up into a clear night sky full of millions of stars and having a big bright moon smiling down on you. I was in total awe.
Don't get me wrong...I have star watched many times before, but only briefly and then slipped into the comfort of a nice warm, cozy bed under a roof. This is so different. I can't really explain the sensation I felt. I found it so hard to close my eyes and sleep as I didn't want to miss a moment.
There is something so moving and breathtaking about being at one with the universe for just that moment.....
This photo is what I woke up to. Life is good.

One World....One Heart....

Hi to all Fellow Bloggers,

I have only recently started blogging (writing and reading) and have found so many amazingly creative and interesting people. I love it!
When I read about "One World - One Heart" I was instantly excited by the prospect of discovering even more wonderful people.
Just think.....if it wasn't for blogging, most of these people would be unknown to us.....what a waste.

Now, as a reward, one lucky (well I think so) blogger will win a pair of earings made by me, and the winner gets to choose which pair! (as pictured). All you have to do is leave a comment (if you also follow my blog I would be greatful, but it is not a requirement) and make sure you leave your email address or URL so I can contact you if you win. Please click on OWOH button for full terms and conditions.
Keep on blogging!

~Blessings to you all~

Life, Death, Beauty, Faith.....

Sometimes, the beauty of life is so intense.
Sometimes, the pain of life can be also.
But today, I feel that my Brother is with me. Always.
I feel at peace as I admire this intense beauty and I know....
I know that there are greater things than we can possibly comprehend.
Beauty may seem fleeting, but it is eternal. For as one beauty fades from this earth, another is born.
My faith has been restored.

Old Friends

I have just had the wonderful privilege of catching up with old friends! Friends I haven't seen for many, many years.
I was visiting one of my sons interstate, when he informed me that he had acquired the contact details of some people who were great friends millions of years ago and that they would love to catch up. Well.....contacting that person led to another and another and yet another.
What a fantastic way to start the New Year!...... New Years Eve....The Lamb concert...and now being with people I have loved and missed.
Don't ever lose contact with close friends; good people.
We are sometimes so caught up in our own lives that we lose track of others. Friendship is a very precious thing and truly good friends can be hard to find.
~Blessings to you all~
P.S. The Lamb concert was incredible! It was probably the best concert I have ever been to (and I have been to many). The energy, the music, the interaction....all incredible. She is so beautiful with a voice that's sublime. :-)

I wish everyone the best of years. I wish everyone a year of great laughter, great love, great friendship and inner happiness.
